MUSE · Lesson 5 of 17
Cast and locations
After this you can lock a face and a place so they stay the same in every scene.
This lesson is written but not yet recorded. Everything below still applies, so open MUSE and follow along.
- 1
A character with a locked reference image keeps the same face across every shot. Without one, the engine invents a new person each time. This is the single biggest cause of a film that feels incoherent.
- 2
Locations work the same way. A locked place keeps the room, the light and the geography consistent from scene to scene.
- 3
You can upload your own image or generate one. Either way the reference is what travels into every render, so it is worth getting right once.
Your turn
- 1.Open Cast & locations in a film and add one character.
- 2.Give it a reference image: upload one or generate one.
- 3.Check the scene cards now name that character.
